Do you all think we should have separate tags for characters with solid body colour types (i.e. one colour only), and characters with multiple body colours?

As for suggestions, there already exist multi-colour tags so to speak, in the form of *_and_*

e.g green and white, purple and white, black and blue etc.

What about doing what we did with the other plain-colour tags and disambiguating them to more specific tags like *_theme (e.g green_and_white_theme), *_body (e.g. green_and_white_body) etc.?

There would be way too many color combinations for multi-color tags I think. Kind of like how we don't have separate gender-species tags (like tod, vixen, etc.), we just use gender + species tags.

Personally I just use black_fur and blue_fur, for example.

For characters of one color, we have green_fur, blue_skin etc. I don't see a problem there. As for those who have two_tone_fur, I just list the colors and add the previous tag. Using black_and_white as a tag may be fine, but then there are some that would look like green_and_purple_and_orange_and_blue_and_red_fur(or body, or skin) which are better covered with the multi-colored_* tags.

So, basically, no. My opinion is that these tags are fine.
I'm certain that I left a few holes there. It'll be interesting to see who points them out to me

Black_and_red
Black_and_pink
Black_and_brown
Black_and_cyan
Black_and_green
Black_and_grey
Black_and_orange
White_and_orange
Whtie_and_blue
ETC.

Way too many unnecessary tags dude.

Done. With as many sparklepuppies as there are out there, you're going to get into a rat's nest of tagging in about 2 seconds flat if you try to tag all the different combos.

Well, you all have a point about there being significant tag bloat, but there doesn't seem to be a set of tags in place to uniquely identify characters with solid body colours, and mixed ones

How about adding something like solid color only to the posts with such colours? Like the first few in the OP
