Being backed up means somebody is protecting you, of course.

I've only heard it used for constipation, but yeah, Lance is probably right.

There may be some regional nuances and context that I don't know about, but based on what you said I'd say either "You need to get laid, [what Lance said]" or saying that you overwhelm yourself with work ("So much work that your clogging your time and it's affecting your social life" or similar). I don't know if that's right but that's the impression I got.
