Reason: The names of these models (and the artist) were changed over a year ago. I think the time has come to update the tags.
I will say that I'm not certain on the frenni_fazclaire aliases. We could alias that tag and those two to frenni_fazclaire_(cryptiacurves) for consistency's sake. Aliasing them to frenni_(cryptiacurves) to match freddy_(fnaf).

This is my first BUR, so I hope I did this all right.

Updated

We are actually trying to get rid of all these tags for models and replace them with modeler tags (in this case it would be cryptiacurves_(modeler) . The tags for the models alongside the ones for the characters clutter up the search lists.
There was already a BUR that started the clean-up, but the user who requested it has yet to get back to it and make some edits.

To frenni_fazclaire : After everything is shifted over to cryptiacurves_(modeler) this one should be aliased to freddy_(fnaf) . Crossgender versions of a character get tagged as the corresponding character alongside whatever type of crossgender applies and don't get their own tags. (Tailsko for example also got aliased away a while ago)

Also, when dealing with artists, who changed their name: Always supply links to said artist's accounts to proof it. Makes things way easier.

Cryptia does art of her own though (cryptiacurves -3d), so the alias should happen regardless. If the modeler tag is necessary, make it is own thing, and make sure not to get any if her original art in the crossfire of that BUR. As for a source on the name change, I'll have to find that later.
This BUR would fix tag clutter issue anyways.

If I may argue against this...
The Fazclaire's characters are a parody of the original FNAF cast. They have their own names. They appear in projects of their own. There's 2D art of them as well. I'd call that plenty of reason for them to have a character tag of their own.

I'd understand if there was an implication to freddy_(fnaf) so that the tag would catch all uses of Frenni, but an alias is only going to cause issues. What about images which use a Frenni model and a regular Foxy model? There's going to be no tag differentiating those images from former uses of Fexa. What about the 2D art? The only way I can see that working is if the Fazclaire's Nightclub tag remains, and then the mixup-of-canons problem is still there. Hell, wuld that tag even be kept, considering it's defined by its cast of genderbent characters?

I see no reason why the Fazclaire's cast should be aliased away.

Updated

Given CryptiaCurves has unrelated SFW FNAF models on their main account, VibaPop, the tags with canon character names could be mass-updated instead, and then aliased to cryptiacurves_(modeller). It would require some regular upkeep of the modeller tag though, so any posts using the old tags to mean a Fazclaire's character would be updated properly.

I could make the alias request for cally3d -> cryptiacurves in the meanwhile, separate from this BUR. As for proof... I'm not sure where to get it, if I need a post on the old account referencing the new account. I do have this tweet from CryptiaCurves mentioning that Cally3D was her main's old name, which i hope is sufficient.

I might have worded that not so well. With ‘proof’ I meant simply links to the artist’s accounts showing their current name. Further info like the tweet you found is nice to have (and makes the process easier), but it’s not a must.

No, it wouldn't. It would reduce the clutter a bit, but it still leaves double the amount of character tags.
For example: post #4619988 post #3320258
And it gets really messy when the modeler happens to have a longer name: post #3486421 post #1604756
(Yes, I know these models actually belong to Disembowell and not Psychojohn. We have yet to fix that mistake.)

The Fazclaire's characters are a parody of the original FNAF cast. They have their own names.

They are still Freddy, Foxy and so on. Just crossgender. If they were different characters that just happen to look like the Fazbear crew we (potentially) could talk about that, but like you said they are parodies, yet still the same characters.
They have their own names, but these serve mostly just to indicate that they are female versions of the original characters. e621 doesn't give (fan-made) crossgender versions their own name, they get the name tag of the character and in the case of these models mtf_crossgender. (I also remember that 'Fexa' was occasionally used already before Cryptia came around.)
At this point I also want to add that the models don't always stay the same. I don't know if you have already seen the V3 version of the Fazclaire girls (Hot damn, they look good!), but they differ a lot from the V1 and V2 versions that we already have. They look different enough that if we were to keep the tags for the individual models, these might need new ones altogether, worsening our problems with the tag bloat.

There's 2D art of them as well.

Yea and the model tags being applied to them is a major headache for us. Even without the shift over to *_(modeller) tags the tags in question should NOT be applied to 2D posts. They are solely meant for the models.
The models getting tagged in some way is understandable, Cryptia made and owns these models. But the 2D art is most of the time a completely different artist (excluding Cryptia's own drawing of course). In those case it boils down to Cryptia's design being tagged and that is something we absolutely want to avoid. That's more suited for the description of the post.

I'd understand if there was an implication to freddy_(fnaf)

We already went through that thought in previous BURs. Stops working the moment someone uses the same model for a different character. Nothing stops another artist to take one of the models and recolor/edit it.
Best example are Disembowell's models (We are talking here about models in general, not just Cryptia's). Disembowell's Foxy, Mangle and Lolbit all share the same base model with just slight edits and different colors. Similar stuff with the other characters.

What about images which use a Frenni model and a regular Foxy model? There's going to be no tag differentiating those images from former uses of Fexa.

Valid point. But if we were to keep the tags for Cryptia's models, we would need to continue the system for EVERY 3d model on the website. Solely for models of Loona from Helluva Boss we currently have over 30 tags.
You see why we opted for the _(modeller) tags?

The only way I can see that working is if the Fazclaire's Nightclub tag remains,

Considering fredina's_nightclub currently fulfills the role of a _(modeller) tag and contains a wiki entry with further information about the models we might be able to keep it. I think it will be aliased away later on to be in line with other _(modeller) tags, but that could warrant an own discussion.

I see no reason why the Fazclaire's cast should be aliased away.

I don't mean aliasing away ALL the names, I was referring specifically just to Frenni, because the name has established itself to simply mean a female version of Freddy and like I said e6 doesn't give name tags to (fan-made) crossgender versions of characters. (Official crossgenders like linkle are a different subject.)

Mass updates are the current plan. Followed by invalidating the old tags. If we were to alias them they would clog up the search list.

I hope I answered everything. I SUCK at explaining stuff. If you want to know more about the situation regarding models, here are some of the discussions we had have so far:

Oh, also: Modeler just with one 'l'. We intend to use the British version. Forget that part, I got something wrong.
