Hmm.
Maybe mega_evolution -> pokémon instead? That'd cover all of those with a single implication.

Considering most mega_* tags imply the actual pokemon, I would think it would be simpler to just imply charizard.
I've said it before, but I'm still not a fan of those.
It makes it impossible to search for normal pokemon x mega pokemon pairings, and besides, it's like implicating Digimon to their base forms. I don't see why we should do it.

I could go either way with it as long as we're consistent.

When it comes to the Mega Pokémon I've been finding and uploading and tagging, I always tag their original species, followed by their mega species, followed by "mega_evolution".
For example, if I uploaded a Mega Lucario image, the three tags would go "Lucario", "Mega_Lucario", and "Mega_evolution".

It hasn't been entirely decided whether we are going with tagging the original non-evolved species (though some already implicate it still iirc), but you should know that for convenience, to tag a post with pokèmon nintendo video_games mega_lucario mega_evolution, you don't actually need to type all that out. You would only need to add mega_lucario to the post and the rest get added automatically through a feature called "implications".
It takes a bit to get the hang of, but knowing some of these implications ahead of time can simplify tagging while also reducing the chance of typos.
For example:
- straight adds male and female
- german_shepherd adds dog, canine, and mammal
- unicorn adds equine, mammal, and horn
- sniper_rifle adds rifle, gun, ranged_weapon, and weapon
- anthro_on_feral adds anthro, feral, interspecies, and bestiality
- And so on...

Once again, you've blessed me with a handy little shortcut. And I say that because I tend to upload Pokémon images.

This is a good idea. Implication technically denied just to keep things clean.
Implication: mega_evolution -> pokémon approved instead.
