Topic: What to do with species-form combination tags

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

There are a lot of species-form combinations under *taur and *humanoid. Many of them have implications and aliases.
They can certainly be useful, when looking for specific combinations. However, I am pretty sure species-form combinations are usually not allowed.
Perhaps some of the more general ones could stay, and the ones with specific species invalidated?
That or just invalidate all of them; we don't have any equivalents under *feral or *anthro, after all.
Specifically, just look through *taur and *humanoid. The vast majority of these should probably be invalidated.

Yeah I don't love the inconsistency either, especially for taurs. I also wish taur was a general tag instead of species. I doubt it'll change though

honestly? this. there's a reason why only the highest level taxons of animal_humanoid imply their normal species tags.

For taur, most of the ones with implications do just directly imply their respective species.
Also, domestic_cat -animal_humanoid. The same reasoning we don't have them for anthro and feral.

But then you'd be excluding images that have an animal humanoid (ANY animal humanoid) and a cat.

And is that really worth the literal trippling of species tags? After all, just about every species, if these are valid, would also have valid _humanoid and _taur tags. From what I understand, we just about always avoid tag multipliers if at all possible.
