Yeah that one is easy enough, approved. I'm actually surprised there aren't more digimon implicated already. Aren't there at least a few hundred, not counting the variants?

Reason is rather simple. Look at this pic:

There are several digimons on picture. Now look at the species tags.

? X botamon 2
? X devimon 2
? X koromon 4
? X mamemon 1
? X metalgreymon 3
? X monzaemon 3
? X numemon 3
? X patamon 292
? X piximon 1
? X poyomon 1
? X punimon 3
? X seadramon 6
? X tsunomon 1

Only one of those mons has tagcount > 10. Compare pokemon where voltorb, a fucking ball, has bigger tagcount then all of other digimons together.
Simply there are too few pictures of them to make people care. And maybe we don't really need implication till tagcount is at least 10.

Okay that puts it more in perspective. I suppose it doesn't help when renamon is over half the implications to digimon anyways.

I'm going to go ahead and check the to see if I can pull up a few more bigger ones while we're on the subject.

Edit - This is the current list I have for everything that has more than ~15 posts. I haven't checked that they are all actually digimon yet, but I'll be going through that now. If anyone sees one that doesn't belong let me know. :P

Digimon implications

Edit: A few more

Digimon implications part 2

Edit 2: Alright done.

There are a few left that I'm unsure of:

And these two, but I don't know enough about Digimon to make a judgement call here:

right offhand i can think of at least 5 versions of agumon: agumon (from the first show), agumon (the show that had bancho leomon or however that mon's name was spelled), toy agumon, dark agumon, ice agumon and that's not counting the evolutions which can get rather complicated if you count the crest, dna, and other evolution sets aside from the basic rookie/champion/ultimate/mega stuff.

i know i've seen a normal veemon and a black one (someones OC i think). digimon could be a tad bit more complicated than pokemon what with the evolution stuff i mentioned.

kyubimon for example would be renamon > sakuyaa...sayuki...i don't remember the name but the evolution after that would be kyubimon or do i have the 2nd and 3rd forms mixed up? i'm not sure tbh, haven't watched any digimon in years and don't play many digimon games that often.

Sakuyamon.

As I understand it, we use the names from the English series (cf. Flamon -> flamemon), which are indeed Raidramon (Digimon Adventure 02) and Laylamon (Digimon Fusion).

The second one is the Agumon from Digimon Data Squad (Digimon Savers). The black vee is Ryodramon. Personally I don't separate different characters that are the same species (you would tag the other agumon with agumon_(data_squad) which would be a character, not species tag) and I tag dark versions of digimon with only alternate_color (they are just vaccine->virus shifts), but ToyAgumon and SnowAgumon are clearly different things to me.

yeah, toy agumon is basically an agumon made out of lego's (or...takeyou're pick of all the "building blocks" toy names >.>). dunno how ice agumon came to be, actually the last i remember seeing that variation was the game Digimon World 2.

unless i've been playing a digimon game recently, i can't really remember all that much in regards to the names/evolution paths so i think i've said about all the useful info i have to offer for now.

For our purposes, evolution lines are just not relevant really. It's usually more useful to figure out whether Betamon is an amphibian or a reptile XD

And the evolution lines are different in (almost) every Digimon game. Yeah, best to keep them separate, only implicated to digimon.

It's bad enough that mega_pokemon get tagged as the base forms. There's such a major difference between those forms that I still don't see why they get lumped under the same tag. Let's not do that with Digimon..

That's probably one of those "people are going to tag it with diancie anyways" sort of things, which if I were in that situation I might end up tagging it with both if I knew little about the series. I mean, at a casual glance, it might make about as much visual sense as purposely not tagging supersaiyan_goku with goku as well.

That being said, I don't really agree with the implications either. :P

Anyways, back on topic. Everything with 10 posts or more except for the few I mentioned now implies digimon, if there are any more that don't end in "-mon" please let me know so I can implicate them. :)

Except for the humans, all digimon characters end in *mon.

Here's a few with 10+ posts that are missing the implications:
davis_motomiya, joe_kido, takeru_takaishi, taichi_kamiya, yamato_ishida, hikari kamiya (alias with kari_kamiya). I probably missed a few.

I kind of expected there to be more, but looks like the humans are rarely tagged. In particular, most of the digimon comics seem to be missing the proper character tags. There's a project for someone..

Approved all except for kari_kamiya which was aliased to hikari_kamiya.

Thanks for your help Genjar. :)

I can't even tell the digimons apart; they all look the same to me.

Speaking of, for some reson I can't seem to be able to shift the strabimon tag from character to species on image pages... what's going on? It even SHOWS as species in the tag history and tag search page!

I've seen this happen before. It should work to just change it to something different like copyright and then change it back to species (or whatever it's refusing to move to).

I'm guessing it's just a temporary glitch in how it's saved or something.

Hey, thanks! That totally fixed it!
