Topic: Tag implication: lusty_argonian_maid -> the_elder_scrolls

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

A search for lusty_argonian_maid -the_elder_scrolls currently shows 9 images. In most of them, the characters are quoting/referencing the "polish your spear" line:

post #3159577 post #2893037 post #839089

Or changing the species named in the book title:

Are those references too insubstantial to justify automatically adding the copyright tag The Elder Scrolls?

Relatedly, what do people think about making Lifts-Her-Tail imply Lusty Argonian Maid? IMO it should be done (in the same way that other characters imply their originating copyrights). But I see that a 5-year-old request for it (in topic #21458) was recently rejected, and that topic had some objections when it was first raised. So I decided to ask here what people think, instead of just going ahead and recreating that implication request.

The rejection is part of the mass rejection of aliases and implications during and before 2021, it's not a ruling either way

The tag implication #53584 the_lusty_argonian_maid -> the_elder_scrolls has been approved.

Reason: "The Lusty Argonian Maid" originated as a story-within-a-story in The Elder Scrolls. Therefore anything that uses the former copyright tag should also imply the latter.

Looks like this has now been implemented through the BUR in topic #36323.

The bulk update request #6256 has been rejected.

create alias lusty_argonian_maid (1) -> the_lusty_argonian_maid (492)
create implication lifts-her-tail (401) -> the_lusty_argonian_maid (492)

Reason: Ideas from the thread

The implication without "The" in the title has been done. The renaming to include "The" in the title has been requested in topic #42341.
