Frankly I think MLP shortcuts are for the feeble minded. Are six characters that hard?
On the other hand, it will probably increase search-ability.
A short fic:
Ponies are @##W#! and if I have the chance I will *@Y## the entire goddamn database in the *&@#@# until they &@#E#&@ and then Gilda *@#$#$*$ in her #$&$#$$&$

People (including me) are copy-pasting tags from 20pc sometimes. Searching for character among other tags just to add *_(mlp) is irritating.
Also search-ability. Some people who are new here don't know that suffix "_(mlp)" need to be added.
