They are often used interchangeably, can we do anything about it?

I think that if the point of view is an actual character in the scene it's pov_*, if the focus character is talking to an inanimate camera or breaking the 4th wall to talk through the screen it's viewer_*.
I wish. *_focus often gets tagged *_pov too, mistagging first_person_view on posts that aren't.
