Any reason for the meh votes? This seems to check out

I think we might want to alias it to a term that's a bit more clear, since it shares its spelling with like the "habitual" kind of habit. maybe like religious_habit, which is the term that Wikipedia uses or maybe just religious_clothing in general, since it's a pretty broadly-defined word.

Ah, fair enough. Personally I don't think there's that much risk with the tag as is, but I'm fine with aliasing it since that's what the majority of folks want.

But now that I think about it, isn't this tag identical to nun_habit?

not exactly, no: post #2430785.

as I stated above, and as shown in the linked Wikipedia article, habit is a pretty broad term. it's used to refer to a many religious outfits across multiple religions.

but also both of these tags are _hella_ mistagged, being tagged on tonnes of characters not wearing the full outfit, often not wearing more than a hood or veil. I think part of that is because there might be a misconception that "habit" refers to the nun_veil on its own.

...as someone who thought the nun veil was the habit, would someone be willing to make a BUR and organize all of this?

The bulk update request #8847 is pending approval.

mass update habit -> habit_(clothing)
change category habit (623) -> invalid
create implication nun_habit (821) -> habit_(clothing) (0)
create alias nun's_habit (7) -> nun_habit (821)
create implication jiasha_robe (4) -> habit_(clothing) (0)
create implication jiasha_robe (4) -> religious_clothing (1634)
create implication hakama (571) -> habit_(clothing) (0)
create implication benedictine_habit (1) -> habit_(clothing) (0)
create implication habit_only (1) -> habit_(clothing) (0)

Reason: Basic BUR for the 'habit' uniforms. I can't say for certain if this is entirely accurate, just my interpretation of the wikipedia article referenced in the forum.

Changes the tag to habit_(clothing) and invalidates habit to avoid tagging of habitual behavior

jiasha_robe receives the religious_clothing implication, due to it's origin in Chinese Buddhism
Unsure if benedictine_habit should receive the same treatment as monks are found amongst many religions, sometimes not having any religious connection at all.

LMK if I missed anything

Is there any reason to not just imply religious_clothing from habit_(clothing)? Wikipedia explicitly calls it "Religious Habit".
