This is the second time it happens this week and while I know artists aren't forced to add sources if there are any, I was wondering if this is something I should do because I don't think artists necessarily post to e621 only, the probably post to otherweb sites too.

Yeah, asked an artist recently and they were the minority that didn't post it elsewhere. TBH, source request is the tagme of source linking. I try to find primary sources first, and then others, and if that fails, who knows. :shrugs: The majority of time I'm adding sources to realllllllly old posts is because they have a lot of dead links. Note: Inkbunny's metapix domains can often be changed to get a working link. nl/tx/us/whatever will change. At least Wayback still works with the obsolete domain. XD
