Topic: Avalenna's species tags?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

So I was looking at Avalenna posts, and noticed somebody put rabbitcat on a few of them. Well, I replaced them with cabbit, and then looked at the character sheet again.

Nothing on there mentions any species other than android(lagomorph type). Seeing that, I removed cabbit and the related tags.

Then I noticed that NMNY is the original poster, and he put cat rabbit hybrid.

Did he notice something I didn't?

What Peekaboo said. Cabbit is one of the few ones that are generally thought of to be acceptable, but it's kind of up in the air right now what we are going to do.

Oh, he must've hid it when I wasn't looking. It was something along the lines of "We're probably getting rid of a lot of these hybrid tags" or similar. forum #153286 has some discussion on it as well.

I can't say for certain that we are removing the tags (or which ones we are removing), but I find it highly likely that it will happen at some point soon. At the moment, whether you chose to tag as "cabbit" or as "cat + rabbit" probably doesn't matter that much, but I'd recommend you at least tag them with hybrid to make cleanup easier for when we do have a plan put into place.

Right, which is fine. I was putting hybrid anyway.

However this topic is over whether the character should even have a hybrid + cat tag at all, since the character sheet states that she's a rabbit robot and I don't see much to refute that, beyond the longer tail addon.

Oh, alright. I hadn't looked at the posts you were talking about yet (char sheet: post #605476, post #599058, post #605766, a couple others).

Yeah, I don't see much resemblance to a cat tbh and would be hesitant to tag it with that based on most characteristics that may look "feline-like" such as the nose (which looks similar in rabbits) and eyes (which don't really look like either, but they might be cat eyes it's hard to tell). The face in post #599058 (to me) almost looks more like a lion, but not enough to tag it that way. If I had tagged it I probably would just look at the ears and say "okay, lagomorph. Done." but that's just what I see.

Right, I'm just nervous about removing an admin's tags.

I'm just trying to figure out where "rabbitcat" came from. :/

I am not terribly active during the schoolyear given the other activities I must tend to.

Peace Nimmy has yet to speak, I will say that the -cat tag thing was a long-running joke and can even be seen in other works of mine he has submitted over the past few months. There is no significance to the tag.

EDIT: For what it is worth (though you may never return to this thread), I would like to thank you for taking the time to look at my work as well as one of my characters. It means a lot to me, and that is no overstatement.
