Topic: Actually hiding blacklist posts instead of just replacing the image with "blacklist"?

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

I have a not large but not small blacklist, and when i do a somewhat vague search like just -female rating:explicit or something, I get a lot of blacklist posts, often back to back. So I'll have to go through like 3-5 or even more blacklist posts to get to something that isn't. It would be really nice to just outright make them disappear, so I don't have to deal with them. Unless I'm blind or something, I don't see a way to do this. So can we get that added please?

What? When something from my blacklist is included on a search page, it doesn't show up at all unless I unblock it. I only ever see the "blacklisted" thumbnail if an image in a pool is blacklisted or if a parent or child post has a tag that's blacklisted. Are you clicking through the posts rather than selecting them from the search results page?

Usually yes. I prefer to just click through them.

They do when you’re scrolling through search results post by post; like on mobile. The blacklisted post’s page is still loaded as they aren’t omitted from the search results; just hidden.

I’ve given a lot of thought to this problem, too much just a normal user. It isn’t a bug; every thing is working as it should. It just never occurred to anyone that it even possibly could happen; the blacklist hides those posts.

Which is really where the problem comes from, the hide/hidden attribute. Which is what says doesn’t display those posts. We are trying to use it for a purpose it really isn’t for; which is to exclude those posts from the results.

Unfortunately, that is not as easy to do, as it sounds. If we want to maintain the blacklist they way it is.

I think the best we could do is an "instant" redirect (not really instant, the post would have to be detected as blacklisted, which would require the page to at least mostly load, and then the redirect to next post could be triggered).
This would have to be controlled by a toggleable option, but -- if I understand OP correctly -- would be useful for both mobile and desktop users.
