The tag implication #50613 hyper_gape -> gaping has been rejected.
Reason: hyper_gape is an extreme form of gaping.
EDIT: The tag implication hyper_gape -> gaping (forum #364858) has been rejected by @spe.

extreme_gaping seems to be a better fit for a tag than hyper_gape. I would suggest an alias to that then imply extreme_gaping back to gaping.
This also keeps the last word 'gaping' identical between tags.

That’s a good point, actually. And it does seem like most of the users in topic #29220 would agree that it shouldn’t be lumped in under hyper.

Well, I agree with that and said this much : https://e621.net/forum_topics/38253
I feel like hyper just gets added to everything and I realy don't see the point of it.

The bulk update request #9544 is pending approval.
create alias hyper_gape (519) -> extreme_gaping (0)
create implication extreme_gaping (0) -> gaping (33024)
Reason: Can a gape be hyper, and have an implication tree of hyper_* -> extreme_* -> *?
