The tag alias #62163 zoom_layer -> blowup_background is pending approval.
Reason: I can't tell what the difference between these tags is, so I'm submitting a tag alias request :)
I chose this order because, despite zoom_layer having both an older wiki page and more posts, blowup_background has several tag aliases and implications set up while zoom_layer does not have any infrastructure.
As far as I can tell, the difference between them is that a blowup background is only one type of zoom layer. The other type (which is currently only on 3 images) is blowup foreground, like this:
So maybe instead of an alias, blowup background and blowup foreground should both imply zoom layer?

Looking at other posts with that jazz for your soul meme, one of the two other posts that's currently tagged blowup_foreground is this:
That's definitely a zoom layer, but I don't think it qualifies as a blowup foreground because it's actually smaller than the main image behind it.
