Topic: Artist "ɯ(_–_–_)ɯ" asked to change his tag to "Suidai"

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

They can easily do an alias on it which auto-replaces them all in bulk (and any future ones that are tagged that way).

I'm sure they would be thrilled to do an alias since that artist is kind of a pain to type out anyways.

Edit: It looks to me like they want the two tags to be separate (one for the explicit art, one for the not-so-explicit art) rather than doing a name change. The ɯ(_–_–_))ɯ wiki was actually just updated to state "The artist asks that no one repost content from 'suidai'" which I assume is what that blog post is referring to.

Actually, that doesn't look like what they're asking for. That post you linked to is asking that anything reposted from their http://suidai.tumblr.com tumblr page should be only tagged as suidai and not use any of their other names for those images. Looking around through their other pages, it looks like they try to keep some of their content separate, with ɯ(_– –_)ɯ as their main artist tag. And that anything coming from their suidai tumblr page needs to be tagged with suidai instead. This matches with the previous unofficial note we had about them, "Mostly only active on Pixiv and his "wpddpw" Tumblr as of recent. The artist asks that no one repost content from 'suidai'." So it looks like they've changed their mind about that, are now fine with stuff from their 'suidai' tumblr page to be reposted, so long as it stays tagged separately under suidai instead of ɯ(_– –_)ɯ.

So no, we won't alias those together, that would be the opposite of what they're asking for. But we can go through and make sure that stuff sourced from suidai on tumblr is credited to suidai instead of ɯ(_– –_)ɯ. Currently there doesn't seem to be anything with that as the source. But if any is uploaded in the future that came from their suidai tumblr page, then it should be tagged with suidai instead.

Also, since ɯ(_– –_)ɯ is hard to type, it helps to know that their other tumblr name is wpddpw and it was aliased to --> ɯ(_– –_)ɯ. So you can tag something as wpddpw and it will automatically change it the tag to be ɯ(_– –_)ɯ tag without having to directly type it out or copypaste it.
