Is there any difference between love and romantic?
In fact reading both wiki (love,romantic) they describe the same thing:

Wiki for love:

(...) More or less synonymous with romantic.

I got no link to implication because both words are already aliased to something else so I'm getting an error while creating an alias:

loving->love
romantic->romance

Love is somewhat vague and I feel romantic would probably be the better tag for it. You can have love without romance, but we wouldn't really tag love like that anyways...so yeah we definitely don't need 2 tags for it.

Both overlap a lot with couple, especially the love tag.
Romantic used to be tag for romantic scenes such as candlelight dinner, or a couple watching a sunrise together, etc. Which doesn't quite match with love. But it sure has got messy in the recent years and the wiki entry makes it sound like a clone of the couple tag, might be too late to salvage it.

Basically, I think the best use for the romantic tag would be to limit it to posts such as:

Since nobody objected, I meddled with the romantic tag a bit in an effort to make it more distinct from couple and other similar tags. I think it might be unique enough to keep now, but I suppose time will tell...?

The love tag is still extremely ambiguous, though seems like it might be possible to alias it into couple.
