Topic: Is Birchly DNP?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

Birchly only has at least 120 post under their tag. And they're a talented artists that make Zootopia style mix with originality.
However, I question why nobody posts their art here. I think in the past I posted one of their pics of their OC, a skunk. But it got taken down.

They don't appear to be in the DNP but also none of their OC is DNP neither so...what gives?
He's not DNP, so why is nobody posting his art?

it seems the artist was formerly on the DNP list, birchly status:deleted shows some posts flagged and deleted for avoid posting. IDK when they were removed, though.

Does this mean they're not DNP anymore?
Do we have the green light once more?

if you want to upload their artwork then you should ask them for permission first, since they can just as easily request another takedown and DNP status at their discretion. on e6 there's a rule against reuploading previously deleted content, so use e6's RIS tool to preen through the posts currently on e6, both deleted or active, in order to make sure you don't upload something already posted here.

If they're not on the DNP list, they're not DNP. You won't receive a negative record for posting their art.
Just make sure you use the similar images search to ensure you don't reupload previously deleted content, because that's also against the rules.

If you don't want to end up with deleted posts though, it's generally recommended to actually just ask the artist if they're fine with it being posted here.

EDIT: oops, siral got there first

Is it possible to simply request that all the posts that were removed be restored? Or does the site not keep the images backed up anywhere?

It should be possible if they request it. Unless the post is destroyed (which is only done is extreme circumstances, e.g. actual illegal photos, and wipes everything to do with the post from the database, resulting in a page like this ), posts can be restored by admins if they've merely been deleted.
