Happy birthday to my account! Wow, a decade on this site!
This was my second "NSFW" account I made right after making a Rule 34 account.
I found e621 when searching for the best furry sites. Originally, I consumed furry porn through rule 34 disney searches. But Rule 34.paheal discontinued the "disney" tag, so it was harder to find my favorite Disney furry porn.

Also at this time, I was becoming more accepting that i loved furry content, so I decided to branch out.

Upon finding this site, I was blown away by the content. The art on here was so amazing that I immediately made an account so I can begin favoriting art.
The other thing that drew me to making an account was the blacklist system. It was amazing to blacklist art I would not enjoy, unlike the rule 34 website.

What really kept me was the quality control. Unlike sites like rule 34, this site will delete very low tier art, which I enjoyed as I was tired of seeing low tier art clog the main page.

Man, when I signed up for this site, I remember that there would be only like 2-4 pages of new art daily, now it's up to around 13! It's amazing how much this site has grown over the years and I'm all for it!

It's also amazing to see how much the site had changed aesthetic wise. Aside from the entire site getting a rework a few years ago, my favorite addition is the addition of the big favorite button at the bottom of the art. Haha, I remember misplacing the favorite button all the time back in the day haha!

Well, it's been a wonderful 10 years! So much in my life has changed but this site has been consistent!
The only downside is that I'm running out of favorite space and I don't know how much longer I will be able to add favorites haha.

Oh! I didn't realise, but I'm almost there too. A decade since I discovered the site in January, but it took me until July to finally make an account. (...I had wanted to tag some things, lol )

I know what you mean though. It used to be that you could go down the first page (if you have the setting to show the max amount of thumbs per page) and it would be at least a day ago or maybe two-three days ago posts showing up by the time you reached the bottom of the first page. But now? I can go to the bottom of the first page right now, and it's only three hours ago uploads.

And it's been crazy to see how some things that used to be common, have practically disappeared. And other things that are big and popular now? Were practically non-existent 5, 8, 10 years ago. Sometimes people ask why this or that doesn't have sufficient tags...not realising that some of those kinks had maybe a handful of images total on the whole entire site like 7 years ago.

So it's been an interesting ride. Will be fun to see where people's imaginations take them next. But anyways, I hope your next decade ends up being twice as amazing!

As a member of the decade club It's really nice how far this site has gone from rule of cool/fun, lobster bans and chaotic staff decisions.
To site a that is growing each day and seeing how the community has evolved and grown over the years, and how new features and improvements are being added to improve the site even.
It's also great and a little scary to see so many people uploading and engaging with this site. I'm excited to see where the site goes in the next decade, and I'm looking forward to being a part of it.

Rhetorically speaking, should I be ashamed? How much time have I spent browsing this place, that will be one of the first questions I ask jesus when I die.

Don't really remember much that was going on when I joined mainly because my life was a little busier back in those early days. Originally I sprouted from a smaller imageboard that focused more on the scalie side of art. It was great for someone that just discovered that part of themselves, but I wanted more than a handful of images per day. Here, well things changed from scales and a tail to the whole kingdom which I didn't touch at first, but those tastes changed with time. Guess you could say that I focused on the art and that was mostly it. The forums, meh, 111 posts. Used to love em back in my highschool days but once I found out about instant messaging, that pretty much stopped. Does anyone remember windows live messager?

A few extensions have come and gone to mold the site more to my liking, re621 being the latest. Mobile apps too, I think m621 and yiffyfur were the first ones but 'the wolfs stash' is currently my favorite. There was once also an app that would download and tag your posts, or did it tag already downloaded posts? Lost that back with the big change to e6 two years ago.

Yeah, that big update wasn't all sunshine and rainbows. I didn't like the idea of limits being put on favorites because... well... I would hit that 80k limit pretty soon. I reached out on the forums and someone cooked up a script to transfer all my favorites into upvotes. You might find it useful, I know I did. Way back I remember someone saying that there was supposed to be a distinction between upvotes and favorites, and that people were using the favorites when they should have been using upvotes. I get that now, and now favorites are exclusively for stuff I know I'll keep coming back to.

Another thing, I used to be super organized about my saved lewds. Furry/Scalie > solo/duo/more > male/female/mm/ff/mf > artist > art, or at least that's how I think it went. One bad drive transfer later and all of one terabyte was unrecoverable. A majority of it was before e6, now I don't organize as hard and I'm more selective in what I download, but I'll still mass download for fear of tactical artist nukes, of which I've suffered one too many of.

What keeps me coming back is the tagging system. The imageboard I jumped from had it but it was sparsely used and strictly at the uploader's discretion. Having community-based tagging and art quality standards pretty much kept me from bothering with an FA account aside from getting around the 18+ block. The blacklist also deserves a special mention. Lord only knows how much better this simple feature has made browsing things.

This post kind of went all over the place, oh well... Who's to say if I'll be here for another decade or if I'll have grown and moved on with life. A lot of questions come with life, but I just take it one day at a time. I'm just happy to have found this place to start with. Hopefully only good things are held in the future.

I just realised my fifth anniversary came and went this month. Not that I did anything much with my account for the first nine months (I just wanted a blacklist, and you couldn't get them without an account back then). It took the impending Tumblrpocalypse to spur me into action.

I found this website in 2012-2013, but I created only a dummy account to enable the NSFW content and never did anything else.

Only a few days ago when I decided to actively do stuff here, that I decided to re-join here.

I discovered this site around 2014-2015, I liked the art and the tag system, so I continued to come here.

This account of mine is very recent, I created it last year, but I'm here for much longer. But only lurking, never posted on the forum before.
