Topic: Its ok to post a censored version of an art for preservation if there is already the uncensored one here?

The title lol, I am confused if that can be labeled as a "low quality submission" or that's fine.

Just clarifying, its not a "preview" or tease of a paid content, it just a version on Twitter that the author posted before on another page uncensored.

We don't keep uncensored and trivially censored versions if they're otherwise identical.

When choosing between uploading censored or uncensored images, you have to take into account the differences and quality for both.

  • If the censored version is the same quality as the uncensored version, upload the uncensored version and flag the censored version if posted already (see topic #17577, topic #34615).
  • If the censored version is of a higher quality (i.e., larger size/resolution, non-compressed PNG) than the uncensored version, upload both and parent/child them (see topic #24082, topic #30345, topic #34615).
  • If the censored version is of a lower quality (i.e., smaller size/resolution, compressed JPG) than the uncensored version, upload the uncensored version and flag the censored version if posted already.
  • If the censored version is edited by a third-party to be uncensored, upload both as long as quality isn't severely impacted and parent/child them (see topic #35320).
    • In any case, the official censored version should NEVER be flagged as being inferior over an unofficial edit.

Remember to keep both uncensored and censored sources (if any) on the post that was kept.

Ah thanks Wolfgang, that explained everything.

But yeah it is the same quality so I just edited the uncensored description with the extra info that there was in the Twitter version that wasn't in the IB post, so it's all good.
