Topic: Tag Alias: toadstool -> mushroom

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

Ok, approving the alias toadstool to --> mushroom.

However, I have a question for people: should mushroom be implicated to --> fungus? Or is that a bad idea? I suppose we could alias fungus away but it seems like it might be more useful to keep. It's not really equivalent to anything but it is underused. Any thoughts? We also have fungi. I can feel the imminent puns already, but any serious input on what to do with these two tags would be awesome.

I want input from other fungi fanatics here, but as far as I can tell, things aren't likely to get tagged with fungus/fungi unless there is something sufficiently mushroomy about it. The only exception is probably mold, which is technically fungus but it doesn't come up very often.

fungi is the plural of fungus, so an alias should work just fine.

There are 3 entries in mold and 3 in yeast. The is also one (mistagged?) entry to lichen. Can't find anything more non-mushroom related stuff that can be related to fungi.

I won't mind aliasing the two, although I think is better to keep them apart just in case. There fungi related things with potential to appear in this site.
