What's the difference between "skinny" and "slim"?

I would consider 1 skinny, and 4 slim, at the closest between the two.

At a further extreme, I would consider
post #1490753 post #3789727 post #3776880
to be skinny and past the extreme of slim. Somewhat like overweight vs slightly_chubby, but in the opposite extreme. Art surrounding squishy people seems to be more popular than it's converse though
It doesn't help that people IRL use skinny to refer to people who of normal weight, and not particularly underweight

I'd tag these as emaciated
