Also, koopalings is currently a species tag (with a character implied to it) but according to this it isn't really a species but just a name for 7 characters that are Bowser's minions. At the very least it needs to be moved to a general tag, but I'm not sure why we even need the tag tbh.

ಠ_ಠ They're Bowser's children. I don't know where they were referred to as minions that the wiki mentions, but that's not cool.

Bowser has eight children, by the way, the last, and youngest, being bowser_jr. (How he earned the right to be heir, I don't know, but he got his father's name due to his appearance). The major minions would be pom_pom_(mario_bros) and boom_boom.

They're confirmed to be Bowser's children in the English (and only English) version of the Super Mario World instruction booklet, but later on Nintendo changed the story. According to Shigeru Miyamoto, the "current story is that the seven Koopalings are not Bowser's children". This Mario Wiki article goes on for five paragraphs on this issue.
