Topic: [APPROVED] Tag alias: stickers -> sticker

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

The tag alias #59422 stickers -> sticker has been approved.

Reason: They need some cleanup because of all the telegram stickers mixed in, but from looking at past forum threads, the sticker tag should be used for actual stickers shown in an image right? But regardless, these two tags should be identical.

EDIT: The tag alias stickers -> sticker (forum #350319) has been approved by @slyroon.

telegram_sticker shouldn't even be a tag. Are we going to going to try and distinguish between discord stickers and telegram stickers? The tag is mostly applied to images that don't even mention telegram in the image.

Honestly yeah. Imo images of a full sticker pack should be sticker_pack, but for single stickers I don't have a perfect answer... some would fit reaction_image but others not really. I've seen people say those ones should just not have a specific tag at all but I don't necessarily agree, it's nice to be able to find all sticker style images.
Maybe there could be a new tag called something like messaging_sticker? That could cover both discord stickers and telegram stickers, maybe twitch/discord emotes also.

What is the difference between a single image "sticker" and a non-sticker bust image? It seems to be completely arbitrary, as you can use non-sticker images as a sticker while plenty of sticker images work fine as regular images.

We have wallpaper for images that would make a good desktop or phone wallpaper, so a messaging_sticker tag would be for images that would make good stickers or twitch/discord emotes (which would generally mean images made for the purpose of being stickers or emotes). That was just my thought process though, maybe it's not the way to go, idk.
