Topic: [Feature] Return the buttons on alias/implication/BURs

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

Requested feature overview description.
Return the ability to see the thumbs up and thumbs down icons on BURs, aliases and implications requests.

Just to be clear: I only want the buttons back, I'm not requesting the ability to vote on my own requests.

Why would it be useful?
Not being able to see the voting icons always makes me doubt myself as to whether I've done something wrong and it's actually not possible to vote on the post, especially when it's been around for a while without anybody voting on it. Seeing the buttons would be confirmation that it's a valid request. Without the buttons, it just looks like a regular forum post.

It would make sense to follow the same approach that comments do, the buttons are there but clicking them presents an error stating "Validation failed: You cannot upvote your own comments".

You can also downvote your own comments for some reason, which would be neat to do the same with requests when you've changed your mind. Having an option to reject them would likely be more beneficial than that though.

What part(s) of the site page(s) are affected?
Forum - alias/implication/BUR requests.
