first post ever after like, years of being on this site no biggieeeee
Not sure if this is the best category for this to be in, but there's another userstyle in here sooo

After a few weeks of actually working on this and a full rewrite, I've got it in a state where it's basically done so I figured it might be a good idea to properly share it!
Re621 is *required*, so install it first, it's pretty cool: https://e621.net/forum_topics/25872

Once you've got that you can either visit the UserStyles.world page here and get the userstyle
Orrrr you can visit the Github repo to install the latest version early and get more info and previewssss ฅ^•ﻌ•^ฅ ‍​​​​​

I'm still relatively new to CSS and especially the Stylus extension so I humbly request you be gentle with your criticismsss loll
If ya run into any issues, best way to report them is to either create an issue on Github, or send me a DM on Discord cant guarantee ill respond directly tho, am quite awkward and shyyyyyy, has taken way too long for me to post this lmaooo

i didn't even know you could change the layout of e6 like this with RE

i'd love to see if the community made anything else like this, but for now i definitely have to try this out!

Other than tiny CSS snippets the only other full site restyle out I can think of is pichan: https://e621.net/forum_topics/30487
tho that userstyle doesn't work with RE at all because of how it edits the navbar so there was a bit of an empty gap for someone to fill and I was tired of looking at bloodlust lmaoo

Not gonna lie, I kinda love this.
You even made the cursed themes look good with it.

Mind you, it has some interesting issues with the mod interface, but I can adjust that for myself.
Plus, I miss the color-coded usernames based on the rank.

I don't think that RE621 is strictly speaking required, though.
There are some minor issues with the header (and the missing logo) without it, plus the profile page looks a little janky, but otherwise it looks okay.

I'm glad you like it! I myself quite like what I did with the hotdog themeeee tho the other themes besides hexagon could use some touch upsssss

Am working on that actually! The way I overwrote the in-built theme's link colors kinda messed that bit up, though it's an easy enough fixxxx

I didn't think to check the source code of RE621 for your changes, if I do end up making it work for vanilla e6 I'll def consider adding it! (with credit of course~)
Edit: Now that I think about it, maybe wrapping my current users page stuff in like, div#page[enhancements="true"] or something would make it look better with vanilla e6? Will have to try when I'm not a tad tireddddd

Anyways, I just pushed out an update, should have *most* of the name ranks back to being colored nowwww prolly missed one or two tho
Not to mention a few other small tweaks such as making links within comments appear different from general navigation links or spoiler tags having transitions nowwww

Just tried this out, and I really like it! Very attractive.
Personally, I'd like if the brighter blue color palette of the Hexagons theme was retained as an option. I don't mind the really muted out colors though, and the whole UI is very classy.

I have been toying around with the idea of like, having different versions of this style that have different theme options or something, though I've put that off for a lil bit so I could iron out most of the issues I findddd. At the moment I'm touching up the base themes because most of the colors haven't been edited too much leading to some contrast/visibility issues that I'm not too fond offfff. (E.G. the tag categories on the pony theme should be higher contrast to make them more easily readable imoooo)

One issue I have is that it disables the button highlighting on the upload page, so there's no way of telling what you selected unless you disable the userstyle. Could you add highlighting colors to the buttons when they're selected on that page? (One highlight color for all the tag buttons under the "Characters" and "Body Types and Species" sections, and the unique colors for the three ratings.)

Was just about to capture new previews for the update I was gonna push outttt. Good catch, will fix right nowww! As you can see by my massive upload number, I use the upload page very often, so I'm quite astonished I didn't find this issue myself! /j

Edit: Got distracted by something else for a sec, was an easy fix~ Am going to take new previews now and publish the updateeee

I finally got around to installing this, and I'm surprised how good this actually looks - it feels like I'm using a completely different website. I adore how cute my cat profile picture looks inside the circle.

I see a few problems - the related tags and edit button retain their original colors background when editing a post. It also feels a little weird to me that the uploaded posts are in reverse order, I'd be expecting the newest on the left and not on the right.

I assume by 'edit button' you meant the submit buttonnn? If not then I probably missed something obviousssss.

I also fixed this too! I forgot that "row-reverse" is like, the default thing that re621 uses for both the favorites and upload sectionsss. Was a pretty quick fix~

here's a couple of small things i've noticed and think could use some fixing for the next update:

• on the hot café theme; the artist tag color is a bit too similar to the tag header color (though i think it has been improved from previous versions)
• on the bloodlust theme when using the auto-complete drop down in the search bar; the color between it and the cursor-hilight are much too similar to eachother (this is definitely improved over previous versions, and you do much better job than a certain professional music notation program )

• like and dislike buttons on comments and RE6's thumbnails don't change color after pressing either of them
• the setting section on RE6's notification window just straight up doesn't exist when using esix café

p.s. i used the same tool that tantacrul used in his dorico vid and you did indeed score higher than dorico

Have published an update that hopefully fixes all these issuesss! Though I will say, I don't think the re621 vote buttons work as intended at the momentttt?
Or at least they don't for me, because when I click on either button the class doesn't change and the vote counter in the little description just resets back to zero. When I manually change the class the colors work the way I originally wrote them toooo.
Also, do report back to me about the re621 notifications settings because I have no idea what I did to fix it on my end but it seems to work nowwwwww lmaooo.

yo what do the little symbols besides some users mean?

i know that yours means that you're a dev for the userstyle, but i also saw that faucet had a bug net looking one next to them and i don't know what it means

can i get a list of everyone you've given a symbol thingie and how they got it?

Haven't been online for a hot secccc, been playing Minecraft like a fienddddd

The bug net badge is for users who've reported 5+ issues with the style~ totally didn't just rip the bug hunter badge SVG from Discord's mobile appppp lmaoo
So far faucet is the only one with ittttt

If I don't get another report relatively soon I may just give it to everyone who has reported an issue regardless of how many they've submitteddd lollll

This is now fixed in ver 1.4.8.

good to know, i dm'd mandorinn and they let me know that you beat me to the avatar glitch from 4 months ago and i didn't know that until just now!

i tried to update café to 1.4.8 but i'm assuming that it hasn't released publicly yet since even looking at the userstyles page only shows 1.4.7

The userstyles version is cached and doesn't update instantly, the GitHub always has the latest version. You'd probably only get updates 10-20 minutes faster by using the GitHub link because userstyles has already updated now.
