Topic: What's Your Workout Routine, Dood? ╹‿╹)

Posted under Off Topic

Lately, I've been going on the treadmill every day,
Steepest incline for about 30-60 minutes
with a mix of walking and jogging, m8!

What's your routine to stay in shape, Dood?
And got any tips for the peeps just starting out?

My Encouragements would be ╹‿╹)

- Don't feel like it's too late one way or another,
Whether a plan didn't work out or if you're starting
from scratch, you can always make a change for
the better, Dood!

&

- You'll get results Now and Later, Dood!
Working out raises your mood and self-esteem Now
And your body becomes more defined Later!
Just keep at it! ◠‿◠)

Kinda unrelated but really wanna give RingFit a shot ◠‿◠)

Updated

I injured my knees so running/cycling hurts if I go hard. I use handweights instead and do shoulder/arm exercises. I was having some problems with weight control, but I changing my diet proved less hard on my body than working out more.

That's for sure. Sometimes, when I'm feeling super anxious about things I can't control, I do exercises for a while and feel better.

30 minutes on a bike every morning, and 6 sets of 20 reps of 20lbs dumbells doing bicept curls, shoulder press, and wrist curls every second day.
I eat 4 hard boiled eggs and drink 4 - 6 cups of water after the dumbbell excorcises to help repair the micro tears on my muscles so they heal bigger and stronger.
I "try" to keep my calorie intake under 1200 a day since an average person burns around 1200 to 1500 calories a day by doing absolutely fuck all.

That's A.O.K Too, Dood!
Doesn't need to be anything showstopping
just remember to get up now and again,
Reach for the stars, touch the earth and
go for a walk or your equivalent, Dood~!

I feel this comment so deeply,
Born with a bad knee on my end and if went all out I'd
be walking with a limp for days, Though recently found a
workaround with leg wrappings, Provides the compression
I need for speed, Dood!
◠‿◠)~★

Super awesome to hear you didn't let that roadblock stop
Stop you either! Heck, Not only that, Super awesome to
hear you're working on just about everything in such a
natural way, Dood!
╹‿╹)

And Totally,
exercise is brilliant when it comes to getting your mind off biz!
It puts you in the Here and Now, Dood, Gives you a clear goal that
you know that you can achieve and when you do you feel amazing
since that's one more massive step to becoming a better you, Dood!

Whoa!

Dood you must be massive!
That intense body and portion control is definitely
not my style but I can admire the effort you put
into keeping in shape, Even going for the protein
bombs like eggs, Dood!
◠‿╹)~★

And that's incredibly good news on the burning of calories doing nothing,
That means even doing a bit of exercise regularly can lead to some
pretty big changes down the road, Dood!

Playing beat saber until the Oculus loses the tracking -> scream at the Oculus -> eat chocolate for mental health...

I use dumbbells sometimes to do arm curls and chest presses, but I don’t do it nearly enough. It’s really hard to keep it consistent

I totally know what you mean, best way I've found to keep it consistent is two things!

1. Saying "it won't take as long as you think it will" and it won't, Dood! ╹‿╹)~★
A quick set of arm curls and chest presses only take about 20 mins
or even 15 mins tops. For runners, You'd be surprised how time flies
once you got a good groove going.
◠‿◠)~★

2. Don't give up! The cycle may have been broken, heck it could
have been a month or two but it's never to late to pick up from
where your left off, Dood!
◠‿╹)~★

Keeping these bits in mind, Keep me moving! Hope it does the same for you, Dood!

That's pretty good.

I have a treadmill... but years ago I ruined the wood behind the band (not proper lubrication, I guess =( ). Of late, I have tried to jog around ouside... but I am very heavy (>250 pounds) and after a few days, my ankles and knees resent it... and stop doing it for weeks. I still do not figure out, how to sustain this kind of exercise.

=(.

More success I have with the dumbells, bars and machines. I punch a bag for 20 min... then do squats, torsions, anke, and abs. Then I do some biceps, bench press and triceps with dumbells and machines. When I care about my nutrition and do it constantly for some weeks in a row, I see some good results.

My problem is that I am very inconstant.... something draws my attention (problems, or something interesting) and stop doing things for weeks, of not months in a row. Although I look much younger than my real age (so they say), I do have also some health problems, that also interrupt me for a while.

Right now I am admiting to myself that I will never have a real good shape. But still try not to let me go down completely, and try to keep me as healthy as possible.

Couple of levels on Ring Fit Adventure's enough to be a major exercise for me, so I just do that three times a week.

You can get into great shape if you play around your weaknesses,
In fact, You already have a routine, Those dumbells, bars, and machines for 20 min!

That's a fantastic starting point if I've ever heard one!
Facing some massive personal troubles myself at the time I'm typing these very words
And I found working out as a MASSIVE stress reliever. There's no worrying, struggle, or anxiety
in those brief moments, Only my goal~! My Goal to one day wear a Mursuit!
(If you don't know what that is, Don't look it up -‿-)~★

Not invalidating your struggles, Just want to strengthen that resolve you so clearly have, Dood
That same resolve that put you on the path to becoming a better you!
You wouldn't have found out about your knees being bad if you didn't try,
You wouldn't have found out squats, torsions, anke, and abs weren't for you if you didn't try
You tried mate, You have hope, And with hope keeping something consistent is a piece of cake!
Just understand that it's never too late, m8 ╹‿╹)

TL;Dr
Don't give in, Dood, Keep your mind on the goal of 20 mins, and feel your worries drift
by while keeping your eyes on the prize! Started at 255 Last month but lost 2 pounds already
with that trick and that's 2 steps closer to my goal of being one of those Mursuiter you see on
twitter, m8 ◠‿◠)~★
(If your don't know what I mean, Don't look it up -‿-)~★

Exercise does not need to be a daily thing. My doctors actually recommended making it three times a week themselves, and other things have mentioned that spreading exercise out keeps the gains, avoids the burnout.

Very adjustable difficulty/challenge level. If you want to exercise longer each day you do it, you may want to tell it to start you off easy and manually change the settings if it's off.

Sweeetness~!
Honestly from the outside, I thought it only had the story campaign
But hearing there's not only levels but adjustable difficulty's really
awesome, Dood! Man, they must be a blast in more ways than one!

I am a 34 yo forestry worker here in Sweden and have been since summer 2007, 8 hours a day manual labour with chainsaw and clearingsaw, and planting every spring.

Since 2009 i do weightlifting at my local gym, started with 3 times a week stepped it up to every other day after my Cancer treatment 3 years ago.
Main reason i am doing so is because my job is very demanding physically.
How my body looks because of it is a bonus.

Whoa, Your Story and routine are inspiring! And from the sounds of it, The results of it aren't half bad either!

I´m gonna keep at it as long as i can^^
A hot tip is if you can get someone workout along with you (gymbuddy in my case) really helps, we push and help/spot each other.

I walk to Albertsons at least once a Week, get 4 of those water gallon Crystal Geyser things, then I walk half a mile back home with them. It doesn’t sound like much, but it’s extremely effective at strengthening my arm muscles.

Four Gallons Half a-?!
Cheese Louise, That sounds like something straight out of an anime or training montage!
kudos on your endurance, Dood ╹‿╹)

That's right... if you want to be just healthy, you do not have to make excercise even daily. Still, you really have to move every day - for example, not to be seated continously for hours in front of a computer.

And I also agree with you... guess that we give importance to some things and not to others. Still, to have a great shape, and being able to give much more to the ladies, have more energy and health and therefore to give much more quality time to my family, it is something that I desire, and should deserve more from me.

Happens... that in few weeks... rather days, I would start a new job, different environment, different people. Good oportunity for a new start. =).

So maybe in a year, I would post a picture of myself (not face, and nothing indecent / inappropiate) to show some results, if I have them... and if I am still in this forum and remember this post.

=).

Could be a good goal for me.

I do some weight lifting to help get my blood flowing and get out of my chair.

Normally its 3-5 sets of 40 throughout the day

If I feel like I really need to let out some steam, 30+ min run, light yoga + the above. I've been trying to keep to it 2 times a week and bump it up some more this month.

Nice! More balanced than Mario in smash! And your routine is as solid as a thwomp too!
Honestly, Feel like I could level up myself from such a leveled Routine like this, Dood ╹‿╹)

Personally I love cycling instead of taking the bus everyday. While I also take the bus when I have the "perfect days" (aka the bus arrives 5 minutes after I finish), I love cycling because not only is it the fastest way for me to get home but it also makes me independent (kinda scared of driving a car ngl).
I also go out with my doggy for peepoo but that's kinda it.

I do:
Monday: Deadlift+plank/side plank
Tuesday: Bench+pullup+skullcrushers
Thursday: Squat+hanging crunches+plank
Saturday: Row+chin ups+bicep curls
I'm trying to find a routine that hits all muscles groups while keeping the same weekly routines just for simplicity's sake
For cardio i just bike, we've got some beautiful fields, forests and a beach here

And I can only speak as a peep that does the basic to keep in

I alternate between walking my dog several blocks, 15-30 minutes on Wii Fit or my calisthenics playlist depending on the day.
Yours is pretty sick. If I had any hikeable areas in walking distance not counting the downhill valley a mile away, I'd probably do the same... inclines rokk.

That is some serious cardio and endurance training, Dood! And that's not even mentioning the fact
you follow it up too!
