Topic: [bug] (Maybe) videos stopping randomly?

Posted under Site Bug Reports & Feature Requests

The past 3 days when trying to watch a video it keeps stopping even if fully downloaded. It'll play for maybe 3 seconds and then stop. Sometimes the audio will continue sometimes not. If I pause then play the cycle repeats. Same if I seek. I haven't seen anything in the forum or FAQ so I'm posting to see if anyone else is having this issue or if it's known and there's already a fix. I'm using Opera latest version btw.

Just tried it on chrome and works perfect. Leaving this up in case any other idiots don't think of the obvious and try a different browser...

Short enough videos you can slowly drag the progress bar over across the buffered section and force further buffering, then slide all the way back to the start once it's fully done.

is it one specific video or across the board problem, because if it's one maybe link it here so bear janitor can see it because there might be a code error

Needs more info. Browser name/os/version? Specific examples, as Versperus said. You said video is fully buffered and still doing it. Even on my ancient laptop it doesn't stall out so likely not the CPU/GPU unless the video is huge (720P/1080P videos play fine on your PC outside of this site?). How fast is your computer?
