When making a tag on a post it will automatically add more tags to a post, how does someone turn this off. Like when typing marine in the species spot it adds things related to rodents!

I don't know if I understood you right, but it seems you want to turn off auto-complete?
You can do so by following these steps:
Account -> Settings -> Advanced -> Enable auto complete(no) -> Submit/Save settings
Or maybe you're talking about tag alias?
In any case, you could try to explain more and I'll try to help ya. :)

A example is like when adding a tag on a post (like unusual_cum)it added too more tags on to the post after submitting.
Ok yeah that makes more sense. Tho I think the rodent thing might have been a different issue when making a post, but I still don't know how that happened.
As pointed by Siral Exam, you are talking about Tag Implications and you can't turn them off.
ya thanks

When new aliases and/or implications get approved, old posts are automatically edited to reflect the changes, but the log interprets the automatic edit as having been made by the next user who edits the post. It's just a minor quirk of the site, no reason to worry about it.

Perhaps you are mixing up marine and murine?
You suspect correctly, they're complaining because they can't spell.
