Topic: a question about tag

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

what tag(s) we would use for a character who is clearly male (like has beard, masculine face, masculine build and penis) but has breasts (not moobs, like actual girly boobs)?

Updated by Furrin Gok

Hmm, just had a look through the wiki and we don't seem to have a specific tag for that yet. Maybe we could use breasted_male or something?

(Also, I searched for male solo breasts and found hundreds of mistagged images that need fixed.)

There is a medical condition called gynecomastia. Basically, men grow breasts for whatever reason. Maybe we could make it a tag?

It's hard to say without seeing the posts, but as far as I understand it they should still be tagged dickgirl regardless of male-ness.

Other options:

  • If they have a pussy and penis it would be maleherm instead.
  • muscles, manly, breasts and possibly
  • intersex by itself (I don't know if this is really allowed, so I'd wait for an admin ruling on that one).
  • ambiguous_gender as a copout (I wouldn't recommend this either, but I've done this before when I got frustrated with a particular post).

We once had the tag bustyboy, but it was decided that it should be aliased to intersex in forum #99381. I think part of the reasoning is that the line between dickgirl and bustyboy ("male-dickgirl") is too thin to tag consistently so they just nuked it. forum #39607 has some more discussion on this topic, but it doesn't look like they had a consensus (and one of the tags muscular_intersex was also nuked later on).

There's also breast implants, but that would fall under mtf.

Dickgirl.

Not funny, Halite.

I think this is a much better option. Descriptive.

I don't think Halite was trying to be humorous, that is actually probably the most logical (already made) tag that this would fall under.

It might be a bit difficult to differentiate between gynecomastia and moobs, but I think we could manage.

Edit: After looking at the comments in post #328525 I'm slightly less confident.

Not a joke.
Breasts and penis = dickgirl.

Or do you guys really enjoy getting in arguments about what is and isn't masculine enough to not get a dickgirl tag vs. feminine enough that it should get one.

It's either a male with man boobs/moobs, or a dickgirl.

It's either a male with man boobs/moobs, or a dickgirl.

If we don't judge it based on masculinity/femininity, we still just end up judging it on what counts as boobs to decide if it's a male or a dickgirl. These are all currently tagged as male:

Moobs vs. gynecomastia is more consistent with our current tagging (I'm pretty sure those words are actually synonyms, but taggers should hopefully figure it out)

Technically, moobs refer to an obese or fat male's "breasts."

If I remember correctly, there is a medical condition called gynecomastia where males develop functional female breasts. I'm unsure if that will be a validated tag however.

That's what I said earlier.

Maybe dickgirl + something like manly to contrast girly?

Didn't notice that. Apologies.

No apologies needed! The thread has gotten a bit tl;dr.

Technically moobs doesn't have a technical definition.

Gynecomastia specificially refers to growth of the breast tissue and not fat (since it's a hormonal condition it's exactly the same process as it is in females). On the other hand, I doubt someone calling a male's breasts "moobs" would care if it's fat, breast tissue, or even silicone. Man boobs is man boobs.

From this it actually seems to make sense to implicate gynecomastia -> moobs. It gives it a very slight tiered system of size/shape with the added benefit of being slightly easier to blacklist. It's not exactly intuitive, but it might be worth considering.

Sounds like a dickgirl.

But a example image would be nice. Since it can be case of gender fuck/gender bending or scag drag

I definitely agree with the Gynecomastia/Moobs differentiation. Fat would be Moobs, masculine would be Gynecomastia, and feminine would be Dickgirl.
