Topic: Digital_drawing_(artwork) vs Digital_painting_(artwork), when to use?

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

explanation

Looking at the wiki of digital_drawing_(artwork) it says they are images that are drawn or sketched in a digital program often with emphasis on line work. It says often not colored in or shaded, which might be what's confusing you. Most are colored.

Digital painting doesn't have a wiki but I'd say it's using painting techniques in a digital program. The coloring and shading is more important than line work if it even has like work.

Short answer:
I'd say the dragon, feraligatr, and braixin are digital paintings. The rest are drawings.

I'd say digital_painting_(artwork) should be for digital art that has a look of being painted (simulating watercolor or oil paints, visible brush strokes, etc). The dragon and braixen would count. Maybe the feraligatr, but I wouldn't use it for the rest.
