It can't be, since the site won't accept é (and other non-ASCII characters) in a target tag anymore, even if it already exists (I tried ). There's also topic #29559 with a BUR to replace pokémon tags with pokemon.

Though since nothing seems to be using street_thug_(pokémon) and need to use the tag street_thug_(pokemon) anyway, this alias doesn't seem useful.

I didn't know that you can no longer use that sort of characters as of now. It'd have been come in handy knowing before wasting all day long figuring a workaround out tbqh. Either way, I imagine the oldest form (Pokémon) will not be needed for the newest tags, right?

That was not supposed to be like that. It was all fault of the ASCII issue. The system was giving me the same error over and over whenever I delivered in the right way like it was intended of, so I had to try a lot of different combinations until it let me go farther.

Yeah, while the accented é would technically be more correct, it would be more of a hassle to keep the é in the pokémon tags (since non-ASCII characters no longer allow tags to be aliased/implicated to them when submitting an alias/implication). It wouldn't make sense to keep the pokémon tags as an exception. However, I think it would still be a good idea to alias the pokémon tags to their corresponding pokemon tags, in case folks start adding pokemon tags with the é again. (See also topic #29559 and topic #28979 for other discussions on this subject)

Erm… did you end up aliasing it the wrong way? Looks like the Unicode version is the official tag currently.
