Topic: Accidentally sent a flag without the ID of the superior post. What should I do?

Posted under General

Title says all you need to know. Found a post that was likely traced and I accidentally sent the flag without giving the ID of the original. I have no idea if I can add it retroactively. Advice?

EDIT: For the record, I fully intended to add the ID to the flag. My phone however lagged the fuck out and somehow registered my tapping the field as sending the flag. The error was still, however, on my end. My apologies.

You could set the original as the parent of the flagged post. I don't know how it looks on the mods' side but they should be able to figure it out.

You can always post a comment on the flagged post with the ID of the original if you didn't include it in the flag.

I have no idea why I didn't think of that before. Went ahead and did it. Thank you!

I could also do this in addition, but that might be overkill. I shall keep this in mind for future reference, however!
