This is Stirrup_(Markings) (I made this tag myself) it expresses a character with markings on the body that appear to be the same as stirrups but it is not clothing and is on the body/fur/skeleton (insectoids maybe)/etc. This is only in the Implication part to be tagged alongside Stirrups

Markings aren't the thing itself. It's just a fur/scale/skin color pattern that has the shape of it, but isn't actually it. See how gloves_(marking) and socks_(marking) don't implicate gloves and socks.

The first thing was about how people would tag "Stirrup" in a sense of getting heated or turned on and it conflicted with a few Stirrups images so I fixed that. I wanted to create a way that instead of people tagging "Stirrup" fo getting horny or whatever, they would use "Stirring_up" instead.

Both. This BUR is creating an alias and implication for the same tags (e.g. create alias stirrup_pants -> stirrup_legwear and create implication stirrup_pants -> stirrups is aliasing/replacing stirrup_pants with stirrup_legwear, and having stirrup_pants implicate stirrups, at the same time, which it can't). Also, stirrup_socks is already implicating socks, and you're trying to alias it to stirrup_legwear, which would cause it to do both at the same time, which it can't.

Taking a step back, much of this doesn't seem to be necessary. stirrup_leggings, stirrup_stockings, and stirrup_legwear, all seem to refer to the same thing; stirrups that go up to the knees or thighs. Yeah, I've also wondered why tights and leggings are implicated to legwear, when they seem to function more like the wiki's definition of bottomwear.

I think the thigh_highs tag is supposed to be for any legwear that reaches up to a character's thighs. As far as I know, thigh_highs don't necessarily need to cover the feet, since legwear can reach a character's thighs while also leaving their feet uncovered (though the wiki will need to be updated; it seems this description has remained largely unedited over the years, despite now having implications to thigh_boots/thigh_socks). The thigh_highs tag is also utilized as a base tag for thigh_boots/thigh_socks, for boots/socks that reach up to a character's thighs.

Both these points might be good discussions for a new forum topic, since I've wondered about the implications and the usage of some of these bottomwear and legwear tags.

Some of these were added for future use (including stirrup_thigh_boots and stirrup_boots). They currently aren't tagged on any posts, but I added them onto the BUR in case they are used in the future. You can add them onto your Frequent tags (by going to the Account page, then Settings page, and going to the Advanced tab). After editing the Frequent tags (and saving the changes made), the tags added onto the Frequent tags will appear on your Quick Tags, directly below the Tags box (when you are in the process of editing a post). You might also want to ask other folks and see if they have any better ideas.

I'm hoping this gets approved, as I've been uploading some images with stirrup stockings and it would be nice to organize these tags a bit. Though someone will eventually have to go through the stirrup_socks tag and change most of them to stirrup_stockings...

I do that from time to time when I see stirrup stockings. Sometimes I see a stirrup_socks in there.
Sometimes the tricky ones is when it's a bodysuit and ends in stirrups.

tag those as: stirrup_clothing it should cover it all, rather than saying stirrup_bodysuit I figure

Still tagging stirrups and the BUR is pending for approval.
I figured that I'd like to add that there should be some additions like
stirrup_high_heels
while there should probably be a separate tag for stirrup_knee_high_boots and stirrup_boots since it's in between shoes and thigh_highs

IDK, I like everything stirrups. Wonderful combo between stockings, socks, and feet images. Pretty ingenious creation of man!
