Topic: can I appeal a flag for removal?

Posted under General

I posted something but forgot to add the artist tag, I flagged it for removal thinking I had to reupload it but figured out how to fix the tags and no longer wish to have it removed-

Can I appeal this? or is this final?

Janitors check the flags before removing it, so it'll be fine.

I just checked your posts and it looks like it's already been handled.

The only upload I see in your account doesn't have any flags against it. It looks like all you need to do is edit the post to change/remove the description.

For future reference, flags have to be resolved by a person (admin or janitor if I recall the roles correctly). So a flag without a valid reason won't end in the post being deleted.

I just wanted to say you can see the previous actions by clicking the "moderation" link in the side bar, under "history" (https://e621.net/posts/2745706/events) which shows it was flagged and handled/removed.

I forgot to mention admins, but yeah, either a janitor or an admin has to approve the flag deletion first. It's the same for if you flag a post as inferior and accidentally flag the wrong one, the person handling it should check both and delete the worst one.
