Tell me, what do you love about the earth? The nature, animals, the science behind it, etc? I'm pretty curious. As for me, it's the nature about it

Something about us having not found a single planet habitable to us without special equipment makes Earth feel cozy. It might not be the safest, or prettiest planet, but it's ours. I just hope we don't ruin it

The fact that our ancestors have given us so much for the sake of having some amount of reprieve from its dangers.

I think it's cool that Earth is basically a giant, self-contained spaceship.
Nothing needs to be "imported", except sunlight and tidal gravity.
With the right technology, humanity might even survive without the sun and moon, by living underground and converting geothermal energy into other forms of energy as needed.

Mountains, polar lights and the fact that there's enough radioactive ore to swiftly pull the plug on this miserable place.

@blkreit, seeing that your thread is just one month old, I respond.

Concepts like "Nature", "Physics", "Cosmos" have a deep meaning from the root of Western Civilization and Phylosophy. We ourselves are, of course, "natural beings", although most of us live today in an environment for which we didn't evolved: Cities.

Beutiful cities, ugly cities... but we long for things like a lot of free space, pristine air, and things like plants and animals... marvels the result of 3.4 Gy of evolution, with every cell being more complex and perfect that anything Mankind has, as of today, created.

Maybe "Furry" is a modern version of something like a chamanistic ritual that unconciously reflects our need to be closer to other animals.

Studying Natural Sciences - diligently - will open concience to the complexity of nature, and with time, and even deeper apreciation of its beauty.

Leave you with this video, amateurish, but with good music. ;-)

"What's your favorite planet?"

>My favorite planet is earth

>My favorite beverage is water

You fuckers still live on Earth? Tch, look at these unascended; not spread across a thousand self-replicating drone bodies, what a bunch of fucking nerds.

Everything, I guess.

But for all our creations and achievements, it pales in comparison to the natural wonders of the planet either billions of years in the making from space dust or in a single week by God Himself, depending on what you believe in.

Either way, to paraphrase Discovery Channel's tagline in the 2000s, the world is awesome.

The food alone is worth a visit. Also seeing all the ways life expresses its self instills a feeling of awe and reverence.

Nature is pretty neat, i wanna start collecting sparkly rocks and maybe disappear into the wilderness for a month

I feel at home when I'm deep it the woods, far away from civilization. That is the only place where I feel truly relaxed.

Well, I second... the varied geography and cultures that inhabit them. There's something for everyone on Earth. Take that, Mars!

No wind/hydropowered energy underground? Shame.
Well, maybe we could inadvertently create qeather as a conseqwence of large underground spaces...

Birth and dreaming are still crazy things to me: We bring life into the world, and live whole new adventures and sort through mysteries like every night. Every day.

I guess I love adventures. The big ones, the little ones. Earth is full of adventures. I wish it was easy to explore most of them.

I wish some were possible to begin with...
