Front left
Also front left. I've always wondered why I instinctively pick that one since it's one of the smaller burners that take longer to cook food.
Front right. The other ones are different sizes and strengths, and not suitable for my normal cooking.
Bottom-right, the rest of the stove is dedicated storage.
Front-left for the vast majority of things. Front-right as well if I need to cook two things at once.
I don't think that I ever used the rear burners. Does anyone actually consistently use those?
The microwave one.

Thanksgiving probably.
the biggest in the front
Bottom-left burner. It's out of habit since that's just the one my family always used.
Front right. Twist: I'm left-handed.

On our range, the rear-right burner is the small one (the other three are the same size). So we use it pretty often for popping popcorn, bringing milk or cream to a simmer, melting chocolate, things like that.
It would appear bottom left is the most popular. I also mostly use the bottom left, and will think of this thread every time now.

I use the rear left burner of I'm cooking two things at once.
On a related note my cast iron skillet is my second favorite thing in my kitchen after my butcher knives.
Back left in my case. That's the burner that I use for the teapot, so that the heat's further away from anybody walking by.
Front , Right. It is the strongest. Because my stove is placed on the left side of the kitchen.

Not unless the front burners are taken for my fam. I know my mother only uses them by themselves when she's heating coffee or tea. Rear burners are harder for floppy arms to topple a handle on.
Used to be the bottom left but it retired when it was in its prime. Now I use both top left and top right, they’re the homies
Bottom right, almost always
Finally a good forum thread. This place has been a little dry.
Bottom right because the middle of three settings fits my non-stick pan. I use the bottom left when boiling stuff. Don't think I ever use the top two.
Rear centre (2*6 Gas). I'm clumsy and it keeps me from knocking boiling substances onto my feet or setting things on either counter to the sides on fire. Assuming an arrangement of
Back 123
Front456
priority goes 2>3>1>5>6>4. Only exception is that I'll use the front burners if I'm using a wok or otherwise going to be hands-on until the cooking is completed, such as pralines and brittles or fudge.
Sidenote; I've noticed a weirdly large number of people put the stove directly up against their fridge, why the fuck would you do that?
I use my bottom/front left. It has an adjustable cooking area.
Bottom left, since it's the biggest.
Personally, I use a single burner stove when cooking noodles or hot dogs or eggs, but I had used the right burner from a previous stove because the left one was broken. Before that, when I was a kid, I remember me and my family cooking food or boiling water using the upper left or upper right burner.
I have to ask, what's this "Top" and "Bottom" burners you're all talking about? I've never heard of tiered stoves, and it doesn't even make sense; if you had a boiling pot below, the steam would get all over the upper burners, and if you had a burning one on top, it'd drop into the lower pots.

I suspect they actually mean "Rear" and "Front" burners, but the words got a bit jumbled on the way out.

it's top and bottom from a top-down view
Bottom right.
The smallest, front right, saves fuel.
front right. the ones on the left have a big cutting board on them and aren't used unless all 4 are needed.
It all depends on what I'm cooking. There are really a lot of options.

I have a ceramic cooktop so I use whichever hot plate matches the footprint of the pot or pan I'm using.
This, but induction, however top left and bottom right are the larger ones and I only have larger pots and pans.

Same.
The ones that feel like working that day.
Nobody has a made a joke about afterburners yet?
Bottom right, the only one that actually serves for somenthing.
Front right EASILY
The back middle one for sure.
The one furthest from the wall. It lessens the risk of a fire, means I don't have to wash the wall if anything splatters, and there's more room for the pan handle. Having the side of your stove up against a wall is annoying.

5 months update: I think the seal on that one has degraded from being used because the flames come out orange rather than blue. I now use the front right.
