I believe all other forms of dialogue are aliased to dialog.

No. They're not the same thing. Maybe they should be implicated but not aliased.

Dialog is any conversation between characters, on any subject, using text, pictographics, or other forms of communication.

porn_dialogue is for cheesy, overly exaggerated forms of sexual talk and innuendo usually during sex. Like you sometimes see in bad porn but no one ever talks like that in real life. It's over-the-top, may involve really bad cheesy one-liners, cheesy sexual puns, and "oh god please fck me with your big juicy man stick and fill me with your hot spooge babies!". It's distinctive, and some people want to blacklist it. Other people want to search it because they find it hilarious. So I think we need to keep the tag.

An implication would make sense though, since it IS a distinctive type of dialog.

Ahh, that's a good point. I agree.

So, I just noticed this alias got approved even though all discussion on it had decided to make it an implication instead . I was wondering what's the story on that decision? And can it be changed? I'm wondering if it was done by mistake (because I think when this alias got approved, it might have just barely predated the feature which linked the forum discussion on the alias/implications page for easier perusal), so maybe the discussions about it and the conclusions in these two threads were simply overlooked?

I see the dirty_talk tag thankfully is still up and running, which used to be basically the same thing as porn_dialog (which is why I was actually planning on requesting an alias for it) so perhaps we could instead just resort to using that.

Although it hasn't got a lot of tags at the moment, and I'm not sure how much porn_dialog used to have before it got assimilated by dialog.

There was less than hundred.
Many can't be tagged as dirty_talk: porn_dialogue was mostly used for dialog that was extremely cheesy, but not always 'dirty'.

Yeah, like Genjar mentioned, they're not always the same thing. Both the style and the purpose is very different between dirty_talk and porn_dialogue.

dirty_talk is a distinct type of dialog which is part fantasy, part suggestive, part euphemism. The purpose is to further arouse one or both parties (or the viewer watching it) with listed descriptions of sex, sexual themes, sexual fantasies, sexual intentions, etc. It's often kink-specific because it's meant to fan the flames of whatever personal fantasies that character/partner gets off thinking about.

Whereas porn_dialogue is heavily exaggerated, over-the-top and (sometimes an extreme parody of dirty talk) that most people have heard in various sources of bad porn, so that's where the tag got it's name from. Dirty_talk is using verbal triggers for getting themselves off, but porn_dialogue is throwing around exaggerated innuendos, cheezy suggestive dialog and terms, phrases no one would actually use to refer to sex because porn_dialogue is more bizarrely corny instead of filthily arousing (dirty_talk).

A lot of Dirty talk is just emphasizing, stuff like "yeah, that's it, bitch, gag on it, show me how much you want it" "yes daddy" "I want it" "such a slut" or picture examples: post #459437 post #367796 post #188075 post #312042 post #424140 post #425375 post #439900

Contrast that with the posted examples of porn dialogue (both Genjar's and mine) where porn dialogue is stuff like "fuck me with your torpedo, baby." "Ohhh, you're so BIG and HARD *giggle* I don't think it will fit" and "Pump me full of your man spooge!/give me all your baby batter!" where it's almost intentionally parody-like, over-the-top, awkward dialog and cheesy:
