Exactly what it says on the tin.

My artwork, (source) which I have been using as my avatar, was deleted by the auto-moderator because it was unapproved for 30 days. The problem is that it was posted in 2019. Is this a bug, and can my artwork be restored, plese?

I do think it had been accepted with as it passed artistic standards. I don't know who approved it in 2019, and I perhaps it had been lost since the site upgrade.

Some of my artworks had been deleted before for not passing artistic standards, but this recent one baffles me that the automoderator deleted this for being unapproved despite being here for two years.
It gives me the impression that my post had been unapproved for two years.

If there is no way to restore my artwork, then it's fine by me. It's an old artwork, and my art style had been changing over the past year. I may not have the skills of a Renaissance master, but I know that I should appreciate my progress and how far did I go.

I have checked this thread I just wanted clarity on why it hasn't been approved, and who approved it before, while it's been there hanging on for two years.

If that is the case on what is explained on that thread, then I now have added a reason to get motivated to do better for my artwork.

Thanks, I had asked her to restore it a while ago, but since she's the one who unapproved it, I have to ask her further.

Interesting, I'd have expected both the approval and unapproval to get listed in the post's moderation history, but it only lists the deletion. In comparison, this post's moderation history lists its approval. I'd guess the first post doesn't list an approval event because it was auto-approved by the uploader. Would it be possible to list approve actions when auto-approved, and list unapprove actions in the moderation history too?

It was uploaded by the artist (and OP of this thread), so definitely not. It might just be one of the many glitches caused by the site "upgrade", which lost many such logs (pool history being broken before 2020 is a particular bugbear of mine).

Of course, this doesn't answer the question of why the unapprove didn't appear either.

And why unapprove an old post instead of simply deleting it? Was it an attempt to sneak around the expectation on this site that approvals are irrevocable once granted, unless the post is flagged?

That, to me at least, remains as a mystery to us non-admins.
What I do know is that we have to check our posts from time to time and report any bugs.

And with that, the post using as my avatar has now been restored.
