I had discovered this website back in late 2010, lurked around it before creating an account in 2013, and only fully used it at around 2016.
I had only witnessed some changes around here, the most in 2020 with the site rehaul.

But reading the history of the site and its users, suffice to say it e621 before the Bad Dragon acquisition was a strange time. I was curious on what was up with lobsters and people getting banned because of lobsters. And did those people who were banned ever came back after the acquisition, are are there still mods from the old e621 still managing the modern e621? Aside from Arcturus, who I have discovered had deactivated their account, where are the old mods now, like mellis and Ryversyde, and do some of their rules still stick up to the modern e621?

Mellis banned anyone who flagged that post for deletion.

I lurked for a very long time as well, seeing no real need to create an account. So, things like that did not affect me much.
But honestly, I'm glad that kind of thing no longer happens. The old administration were kind of cringy and immature.

Technically it's still flagging abuse so I bet you'd at least get a record for it.

By the way, whatever happened to the pre-BD aquisition mods? Arcturus had deactivated their account, and now goes by as "User 7", Ryversyde's last activities were from 2011-2012, and any page information of Mellis is blank. Those are the only old mods I knew of.

They ether made new accounts or just never logged back in.
