Reason:

Unnecessary plural.

+1 However, since we use the plural for hooves, breasts, nipples, *_eyes, and a lot of other things, I'm almost more inclined to choose the plural. In the grand scheme of things though it doesn't really matter which is chosen.

Edit: interesting, 1411 posts for ~fin ~fins, 753 for fins, and 705 for fin. Thats a lot less duplicate usage than I expected. I'm amazed nobody has noticed this before.
