Topic: Character Tag Help

Posted under Tag Alias and Implication Suggestions

You can change an existing tag's category type by clicking the "?" to the left of the tag on the tag list, then going to the top of the page and selecting "Edit Tag".
Alternatively, you can type in char:bianca_clayworne when creating a new tag.

Someone already changed the tag category for you, and I have added it into the remaining posts.

Last I heard, this no longer works due to the abuse that function received.

You can also go up to the Tags tab, manually search for the tag, and click Edit from there to switch category.

It works if the tag is not already in use. Once there's a post using it, you need special privileges to change it that way, and normal users need to edit it the other way (you can click the ? next to the tag on a post to go to its wiki page, then click Edit from there; no need to explicitly search for it). But even that only works if there's less than 100(?) posts with the tag. If there's too many, only a moderator can change it.

Ah, alright. I haven't tried it on new tags since the change.

Yeah, that's why I said "you can also." It was also mentioned in the post above mine.

Well, to be fair, there was a time when you couldn’t edit the tag’s category from the Wiki tab. It could only be done through the Tags tab.

Glad that was sorted out.
