So, on June 22nd, a friend of mine on Discord showed me this thing where Hello Kitty crossed over with Blue's Clues (no joke), and I was kinda impressed. Yes, I know Blue's Clues is a kid's show here in the US, but it's apparently popular in Japan. It was then that we discussed how Sanrio crossed over with other franchises in the past. They crossed over with Animal Crossing (as some of you already saw), Yo-kai Watch, Gundam, Doraemon, Shimajiro, Godzilla, My Hero Academia, and Shin-Chan, apparently.
This lead me to think, "Isn't Shin-Chan an adult show?" Well, it turns out that Shin-Chan is actually a kids show in Japan. America turned it into an adult show after seeing all of the ass shots and nudity in some episodes. This is the Pokemon episode "Beauty & the Beach" all over again (if you don't know about the episode, it's where James tried to win some sort of contest by putting on fake tits), but with nudity. I mean, anyone who's watched anime at some point might've seen some nudity shots, like in Dragon Ball, where there are perverted scenes and some nudity in it as well, and then there's The Littl' Bits, where the males (in a few episodes) are all swimming in their own hats. All of that shit was fine in Japan, but the USA has to censor the nudity, thinking it might be inappropriate for kids (and honestly, I don't blame them.) Makes you think that Japan can handle this without any problem.
To give a closing statement, there IS a difference between nudity and sex. Although sometimes they coincide (like in hentai or animated porn), they are not the same. But other than that, let me know your thoughts.
