I've been browsing through old work of an artist, trying to find art that hasn't been uploaded to this site yet and I found that all pictures featuring a specific character were removed, even though I remember seeing them a while ago.

After some digging, I found that it's possible to use status:deleted to search for removed posts, which helped me confirm that the character's owner requested a takedown of the images. But to do that, I had to manually open every deleted image made by that artist and check the reason for deletion, most of which were just "duplicate / inferior version" type of deal.

So, is it possible to search for posts that were specifically taken down?

Pretty much, this.

You can't sort by deletion reason, only the broader status. If you know the character's name, maybe status:deleted [artist_name] [character_name] could work

I've been doing pretty much that. Problem is, I don't think I can rely on searching for posts this way since they might be missing the character tag or I might not know the character's name. In either case the deleted duplicate posts will show up.

Would be really nice to sort by deletion reason though. Hope that gets added some day.
