Topic: luxury vinyl or engineered hardwoods with kids/pet

We are building and need to decide on floors for our home ASAP! We originally picked Palmetto Road engineered wood but have had a lot of people tell us to go with LVP for our 3 kids and 2 dogs inside. We have a slab foundation. Which
one should be chose?

We were told by several places we couldn’t do real hardwoods on a slab foundation. I’m going to look into Coretec, however, I think they only have a floor called “Core Floor.”

I want to give you some advice from myself

If I were you, I'd go life proof carpeting myself. But that's not the in thing I suppose. Again, going off of personal taste, I think the wood. Wood's plenty sturdy, and you don't have that whole "vinyl" thing whenever a guest asks about your floors. Just cheap, even if it is "luxury"
