Littlefoot is a well known character and a name not shared with ANY other character anywhere. Why did this get changed to Lovable Littlefoot? That has NEVER been his name and is completely wrong.

Did someone do an april fools joke and forget to change it back?

I noticed the same name changes on all the other TLBT characters. Not that it is offensive in anyway, but still, much like the OP said, those are NOT the actual names of the characters and it is confusing.

Yeah I updated my post. It makes no sense and is NOT their names at all. In no media EVER was this their names.

It looks like Littlefoot's official name is "Lovable Littlefoot", but anything that cites that is either an image or won't open...

What do you mean "the same person"? The person that made and approved the aliases, or the person that edited the wiki and cited "proof", since I'm linking the wiki because I can't tell. These name changes seem kinda redundant.

They mean that the same person who altered the tags perhaps also altered the wiki entries

As in, the admin here is possibly the same fandom user who dug up the UNUSED pictures from the TV SHOW production and thinks it's justification to change their OFFICIAL names here.

I know they had the best intentions to set distinct character names but I'll agree these were a bit much. I haven't used to new alias system but I'll see if I can get them reverted/set to more reasonable names.

Lovable Littlefoot seems to be cited from a now disfunct official website for the series where he was described as "Lovable Littlefoot", alongside the names for other characters in the file Crusty Fire links in their post.

Those names seem like marketing descriptors to help sell them to the audience, not their names. Further reinforced by the actual marketing text using those exact words, but not capitalized as they should have been if they were the actual names.

Beyond that, I think I found all changes. If anyone can fill me in on what the original tags were I can easily punch these in as the ones being displayed, I've got all aliases set up to easily paste into our new fancy tools.

Otherwise, I'll be defaulting to <name>_(the_land_before_time) (e.g. littlefoot_(the_land_before_time)).

From what I remembered, the names were just their names unless it conflicted with another character of the same name:

IE: Littlefoot was just Littlefoot, no other character shared that name. Cera and Petrie also managed to do the same thing. Spike shared his name with a few other characters named Spike, so he had Spike_(lbt), Chomper shared his name so he got Chomper_(lbt), and I think Ruby also did as well with Ruby_(lbt). Ducky shares her name with an artist so she got Ducky_(lbt).

Guido I don't recall having any conflicts so it was left as is.

I'm also aware it's THE land before time, so some extensions are things like _(tlbt) instead of _(lbt), but either one of these is simple enough to go by.

I found a bug with the new tool and had to wait for Kira to take a look at it. The tool marked the old aliases as "deleted" instead of actually deleting them, preventing me from making the new ones. Those have been cleared out and, if the site is to be believed, should be working momentarily.

Oof wow this was a mistake on my part; I assumed these terms were the proper names, but I assumed wrongly. Sorry about that. This also probably was the consequence of tackling a good chunk of missing implications that didn't exist yet (cause prior to these implications, TLBT related tags had literally no implications yet)

So yeah, I hope you all can accept my late apology on this. Personal health has kept me pretty silent lately, so I just got the news of this. Apologies for that, glad some other admins managed to help y'all out.
