Implicating cub → child

Reason:
It's basically the same thing - but it's for a just-in-case scenario for people's blacklists.

What do humans have to do with anything? This is an implication, not an alias.

No it's not. Cubs relies on being only fictional characters, it doesn't exists IRL. Child implies everything related about human children, including Lolis, Shota and such.
Also when people search for Cubs they usually want to see anthro character, not human ones. If you put Child and Cub as same thing, it will appears Loly and Shota, and whatever human children drawings to these persons.

What exactly do you call a baby bear, then?
Cub relies on it being a nonhuman animal.

Every time I find one of these threads I notice everyone's forgotten cub is supposed to cover all the way to just-before-adult-status, and it's just popular usage disagreeing with that combined with it being too big to fix.
The issue here is the underage-age-group tags are all hugely undertagged because all that gets slapped on most posts are young and cub

Cub in Furry Fandom sense, bruh. Like this:
Isn't what we are talking about?
Even if you add "non-human animal", it will only emphasies that Cub is not Child, because Child is a nomination for Human children, and a cub animal is not a human.

Yeah it's suppose to but what I saw most is underage character below 08 or 12. It's pretty rare Cubs that's look like a teenager, so it's difficult to assume that every character that looks like bellow 18 is a Cub.
So I think the tags Young and Cub suits well enough to each other.

And also, I noticed now that there are very few images with the Child tag and mostly are not even human characters.
So I think it would make more sense "delete" the tag instead of including them to Cub because probably they already has the Young tag, which already implies that they are underage.
EDIT: Just confirmed: every image that has the Child tag, has the Young tag.

No shit? Child implies to young because young is blanket tag for all underage looking characters, this includes children.

Child also applies, but not all the time. Child is a specific age range, cub is broader. The proposed implication is bad because it assumes that it'd apply specifically to child, not to infants and teenagers.

Yeeees? That's why the Child tag is not necessary because the Young tag already links this kind of age range, and there are few images linked to it. It would be easier just erase this tag

It's broader but like I said, mostly of them are already underage characters, very few in different age ranges.

if im searching loli, im looking for characters with skin. if im searching for cubs, im looking for characters with fur.
If you link those together an i search cub -loli, or have loli's on my blacklist im NOT going to get anything because it would have been turned into child which includes both (btw we have a 'child' tag, its the the young tag)

It... is necessary. Young tag includes everything ranging newborns to teenagers. Child tag includes only 3-12 years olds. It does not cover teenagers, babies, or toddlers. This distinction matters and they are not interchangeable tags.

You seem to have pretty fundamental misunderstanding of how any of these tags work on this site. Please try to read the tag wikis.

I think the reason a lot of the underage tags are misunderstood is far fewer people are comfortable with keeping them straightened out due to the subject matter, so when popular-use takes hold it doesn't get corrected.
Bestiality would likely have the same issues if it had a whole web of additional-classifier tags attached to it like young does.

How a 03 years old is not a baby or toddler again? I think you meant 05 years old to 12
Anyway I'm just saying (again): the majority of Cub art IS 03 (or 05)-12 years old. There are very few lesser than 03 or older than 12, unless it's paring with a teenager or an adult. So I don't see the necessity of including the Child tag in Cub

Majority of the young/cub art being children does not mean that we need to lump them all in one. If someone wants to look up underaged characters that are children especially, they would need to search young -baby -toddler -teenager
That is not useful or beneficial or helpful for literally anyone.
Also the age limits are not strict, they are case by case basis. If you google "3 years old child" you will get images of kids that look like toddlers, and kids that look older. Also if 3000 years old god looks like a toddler, it gets tagged as such. These are just base guidelines of what sort of appearance we are talking about here, not strict rules.

Unfortunally yes but that's what it is. If it's underage and it's a furry, it's Cub. But again, majority it's still 03-12. As always whoever wants to see underage furry characters, can easily see it by typing Cub already or Young tag. If you want to see a teenager cub, just add teenager, and so on; it's not a big deal.

Just like I need to put Guilmon -dickgirl -herm -female, or Guilmon Male if I want to see a male Guilmon just as the character is, but for that I can't just create a Male_Guilmon tag for that because it will cause a massive creation of unecessary tags for what people would think it will easy up their search: Female_Renamon, Male_Flamedramon, Male_Nick_Wilde, Female_Judy_Hopps, etc.
There's already Overweight_Male and Overweight tags, which it's unecessary as well because you can easily type Overweight AND Male and the result will be the same.

You are not making literally any sense. None of these things you are comparing this to are comparable to this situation in any fucking way. What you are trying to push here is comparable claiming that we need to get rid of car tag and just use vehicle tag for them because majority of vehicles on this site are cars, so it's meaningless to have separate tag for cars especially. If you want to look up cars especially, tough luck, either you suck it up and tolerate occasional planes and tanks and whatnot in the search results, or you can exclude your entire tag search limit's worth of tags from your search.

This is a very shaky argument as you're mixing character and species tags, regardless of it being a completely different area.
The Digimon examples are species tags, not character tags.
It's actually genuinely difficult to narrow-search male Renamon art, but for the Zootopia leads you can just punch in ~nick_wilde ~judy_hopps crossgender

We shouldn't have to in the first place though.
Cub Porn and Pedophillia should be a bannable offense.
