So I'll just ask on which art sites do you use often, and which sites did you use often in the past.

I'm going to exclude social media sites such as Twitter, by which we're going to focus primarily on gallery sites.

During FA's DDoS attacks and y-gallery's shutdown both in 2016, I moved to Tumblr. But after Tumblr's porn ban, I moved to Newgrounds. (I moved back to FA months before the ban)

Also, do anyone still use Furry Network as a primary account? Asking as I don't want to necro this thread.

1. I'd heard the stories and seen the memes regarding FA going offline before, but this is the first time I've every seen it happen with my own eyes!

2. I myself rarely use Furry Network or any other furry site other than e621.

From now I move to InkBunny and HicceArs.
Before I used Pixiv as my main playground, but Pixiv banned me unfairly and repeatedly.

No, I usually used FN as my backup, secondary account.
But my account has been disabled automatically by admin.
I will abandon FA, FN, Weasyl, SoFurry, and other similar site which hate cub porn as well.

also, if you liked the way tumblr was you might like newtumbl as a social platform.

Furaffinity and Deviantart are my primary accounts, my secondary is Inkbunny.

I also have accounts on Transfur, Weasyl, Sofurry, FurryNetwork, and Tumblr, but they're rarely used aside from checking up on artists I watch.

Apparently FA's database software got some "obscure bug" according to a post on their forums (http://forums.furaffinity.net) so now they're reinstalling the entire database software and restoring an entire backup.

I don't know why, but NG most likely won't accept cub porn.

The coding of the site is at this point so convoluted, patched and re-written that it would be much better to simply tear it all down and start again from scratch -.-

That has been multiple times, but FA is just a gift that keeps on giving.

I use FA and IB for browsing stories and sometimes to check my fav artists. I also have a DA which I made exlusively to message a single artist. For art it's all e6 for me. I mean, how tf do you even search a site that tags labrador and not dog?! Bet I'm missing tons of stories just because artists don't give a fuck about tagging. :/

It's not a shitty rule, they have a good reason for it and unfortunately this was after PayPal got upset with them and caused trouble for site donations. Now obviously things are a lot different now but the rule stands and I'm not sure if the current owner would like it either.

I mean, that doesn't change my opinion on it?

My main gallery site is FA, I just prefer it because community there is more friendly and less creepy compared to other furry sites (imo and by own experience xp).

Usually sites that allows cub content like IB attracts lots of creeps (imo and by own exprience), and is kinda uncomfortable to be in, even if its the second site with more followers I have (ignoring twitter of course).

There is an ask on their tumblr blog that answers that question I believe. Not sure what their definition of 'realistic portrait' is, however. At least in terms of art. Whether it be detailed 3d, drawn too real, or just depicts a real one rather than a fantasy one (but looks obviously not real and/or cartoony).
