Reason:

They're the developers of the main series and the tag already exists.

A few problems with that.
1. We don't tag developer, we tag copyright, hence Nintendo.
2. They haven't made all the pokemon games, not even all of the main ones.

I'm looking this up right now and I can't find any of the main games nor their remakes that they haven't been behind. You're referring strictly to the handheld RPGs and not spinoffs like Colosseum and XD, right?

Chunsoft makes the Pokemon Mystery Dungeon games.
Hal Laboratory makes Pokemon Ranger.
Tecmo Koei made Pokemon Conquest.
Ambrella made Pokemon Dash.
Genius Sonority makes Pokemon Trozei.

Yeah, plenty of developers make pokemon games.

I can't think of any good use for developer tags, so yeah, let's not start using those?
