Topic: OP refused to title this: Tagging canon species that canonically don't have genitalia

Posted under Tag/Wiki Projects and Questions

So there is a species someone made that isn't supposed to normally have breasts but people keep tagging the non cannon ones as the same thing and it sort of ruins the species because people keep seeing the non lore friendly ones. is there a way to tag these as SpeciesName(NonCannon)?

Can you be more specific? There's likely not going to be a "non canon" form of tag, but there is likely a means to blacklist the issue here.

So people keep putting breasts on avali and there is no cannon reason for them to have them and it does bring a huge issue to the people who dont put tits on stuff becuase the people who see it on e6 just assume they are supposed to have tits when they make new characters and doin t really look into the lore more.

Y'see, the lore is irrelevant when tagging features of a character. If the character has breasts, they have breasts... regardless of species. It doesn't matter whether or not Avali have breasts canonically, if breasts are present then they need to be tagged. This is what's called the TWYS (Tag What You See) rule, and is how posts are tagged on this site.

the fact that they have breasts doesn't make them a different species.
Like 90+% of the species drawn by furry artists don't have breasts like artists tend to draw them. Not to mention all of the scalies, birds, fish, mollusks, and arthropods which shouldn't have breasts at all. Should these not be tagged with the proper species tags?

I'm just here because I'm Just wondering why this thread has a vague title on it.

While I understand where IrutoKling is coming from (I similarly prefer when pokemon like salazzle are drawn without breasts), the current tagging system doesn't really help in finding these things. There is the on_model tag, but besides being very under-utilized, it can be too strict (some off-model stylization can be fine). Alternatively, the best I can think to do is "[species] flat_chested", though the flat_chested tag isn't used as much as it should be so you'd still miss a lot (it'd also miss males of the species, if they're also relevant to your interests).

What does the on model tag mean?

"Depictions of copyrighted characters which are, regardless of subject matter, stylistically nigh indistinguishable from the original source material."
Basically, it looks practically identical to its official depictions.

avali (or whatever species have you) -breasts -nipples

Should fix those woes.

That would exclude pictures that have "proper" avali with non-avali that have breasts or nipples.

In the original starbound mod, the creator of the race almost explicitly stated otherwise but that may have changed since.

And thats just a shitty thing to do clickbait is boring. Be honest w your threads.
